Details

This noble residence is situated in the Municipality of Radda in Chianti, capital of the Chianti area, an ancient medieval village constructed on a hill halfway between Florence and Siena, a world-famous tourist attraction, driven by the cult of wine of which it is a worldwide reference.

The location of the building is particularly interesting, it is situated in the main square of the village, Piazza Francesco Ferrucci 2, adjacent to the old Town Hall where the municipal administrative structures are located.

The history of the main building goes back to the first millennium, important evolutions of the village are visible within its’ walls, a clear example is a large fireplace once part of the covered market place in medieval times housed on the ground floor. The structural evolutions continued up until 1750 when it was transformed into a farm. The farm managed both land and the production of wine.

The building is divided into 3 buildings, amalgamated together, its’ four floors face three public roads, the elegant portion of the residence is accessed from Piazza Francesco Ferrucci, the former productive part, has accesses on Via XX Settembre and lo Sdrucciolo, both entrances are at lower altitude to the main entrance in the square.

The residence is 1000 square metres, it can easily be transformed into accommodation and it has over 300 square metres,  which can house catering, commercial activities, etc., especially due to the two access points on Via XX September and Lo Sdrucciolo. The residence has a large panoramic terrace and garden which complete the facilities of the building making it unique in the village.

This unique residence, apart from the renovation of the roofs with anti-seismic characteristics imposed by the law, has not undergone transformation since 1800, preserving all its’ original features.

The large rooms, the three entrances on its’ three sides, the layout of the floors and the climb in the slope of the land, give an ample scope of possibilities to organise and create rooms, easily assigned with little intervention.
